Introduction
Sell with BookFunnel puts a Buy button wherever your readers already find you, and takes care of everything after they press it.
What it does
You add a button to a page you control. A reader presses it, pays, and the book appears in their BookFunnel library. You did not build a shop, you do not hold their card details, and you do not file the sales tax.
What happens when somebody buys
- The reader presses your button. A checkout opens on your page — they do not leave it.
- They enter their e-mail and their card. The card goes from their browser to the payment processor directly; it never touches BookFunnel.
- Tax is worked out for where they are, and shown before they pay.
- The charge is taken and the book is delivered to their BookFunnel library.
- The sale appears in your dashboard.
Who is the seller
BookFunnel is the merchant of record. That is why the tax is ours to calculate and file, and why a refund is issued by us rather than by you. What stays yours is the decision: a refund request comes to you first, with the reader's own words, and you approve it or object to it.
What a reader gets
The book, in their existing BookFunnel library, readable on whatever they read on — Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, a phone, or the browser. Books they buy sit beside books they were given.
